Anderson Orchard was the first orchard I visited when I moved to Indy. A family from my church took me there my first Indiana fall. I am VERY excited because they have apples that your family can pick right off the trees! Last year was rough on all of the crops but Anderson has some quickly ripening apples!
In addition to apples, the U pick pumpkin patch will open the last week of September!
Anderson Orchards has a ton of people talking and most of the praises have been about the elephant ears and apple butter sold ready to eat at their concession stand. I do believe that exact quote was, “to die for!” The concession stand is open Saturdays and Sundays in September and October from 8am until 8pm or dark whichever comes first. Caramel apples are available 7 days a week through November and Cider Slushies are also available 7 days a week through the entire season.
Anderson Orchard is located at 369 East Greencastle Road, Mooresville, and is open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Call ahead to ensure availability, 317.831.4181. You never know with the way things have been around here!
