The 2015 Hoosier Outdoor Experience takes place September 19th & 20th, 10:00-6:00 both days. I suggest getting there pretty early to beat the crowds and have time to enjoy as much as you’d like. Admission and all activities are free, there will be food and souvenirs available for purchase. For all the details visit their website at Hoosier Outdoor Experience.
Registration is not required but it is requested so that attendance can be anticipated. You’ll also receive important parking information.
Once inside the park, this is a walking-only event. Please wear comfortable shoes, and bring small strollers and wagons if you have children or supplies to haul. Limited parking for the event is at the south parking lot of the Maj. Gen. E.J. Bean Finance Center (see map). Use the DNR shuttles to travel to Fort Harrison State Park. There is no parking inside the park during the event. If using an online mapping site, enter your destination as the intersection of E. 56th Street and Post Road. You will not be able to enter the main gates of the park. A walk-in entrance is available on Glenn Road.
