November 21st through January 18th, 2015, check out the trestles, bridges and tunnels with chugging trains that wrap around and through replicas of national and local treasures such as Indianapolis’ Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Lucas Oil Stadium, the One America Tower, Mt. Rushmore, The Grand Canyon. Each landmark is made of natural materials like twigs and moss.
My kids loved watching (chasing) the trains as they crossed bridges that ran over our heads. Leaving the exhibit to peruse more of the museum was quite a difficult bargain. We stopped in again on our way out at the end of our visit.
You won’t want to miss this exhibit, but if you do, you’ll be happy to know that if history repeats, Jingle Rails will return next year.
