Tip for 2014: Don’t miss Santa’s Big Arrival at 8:30am on November 28th. Santa will zoom into the museum in a 2 seater race car driven by 2013 and 2014 Indianapolis 500 Pole sitter Ed Carpenter. Elves will rappel down the face of the four-story museum. Hot Chocolate will be available outside for Santa’s arrival.
It’s no secret that we’re the second biggest fans of the the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis. I don’t know who the FIRST biggest fan is but I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that someone out there MIGHT love it more than us. My favorite time to go? CHRISTMAS! Jolly Days is such a treat! There’s nothing better than watching your kid just have a BLAST figuring out new stuff and doing something year after year and loving it still. What a blast!
One of my favorite parts is that YOU get to play right along side your kids. The Yule Slide is just something you HAVE to experience. Lulu was a year a half old when she slid down with her daddy for the first time and she LOVED it!
Ice skating indoors (warm ice skating) on a synthetic ice floor was such such a treat, don’t forget your socks. There were snowball fights, ice fishing (Lulu’s favorite), the ice castle, the kitchen and all of the great year round fun made our Jolly Days visit such fun!
From 10am to 4 pm, children will have an opportunity to ear their own set of elf ears from the head elf by participating in activities
This year, in addition to the organized snowball fight on the ice skating pond, there will be daily snowball fights in the atrium. Snowballs can be purchased in the museum store and used during this “safe snowball fight,” led by Actor Interpreters dressed in referee shirts. As the game continues, new rules and demands will be placed on the teams, such as: no right hands or kids vs. grown-ups! Join in 11am and 4pm Daily.
Please note: The museum is closed on Mondays in December.
Don’t miss it this year!
Jolly Days takes place at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis November 22nd, 2014 – January 4th, 2015 during regular museum hours. Admission to Jolly Days is included in the price of your ticket or free for members.
