Pinewood Derby may have been made popular by the Boy Scouts, but this racing feat is open to all at the Indiana State Museum. Race your car down the track and be eligible to win it all! Participation is free, with paid museum admission. Practice Tuesday through Friday during the fun-run times and then race to the finish on April 1st. Pinewood Derby®
Tues., March 28 through Fri., March 31; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sun., April 2; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sat., April 1; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.*
Enter to race in one of two age categories!
Participants ages 5 to 16 must register as a youth. Those ages 17+ must register as an adult.
*All participating cars must be registered by 1 p.m. on race day.

Enter a Pinewood Derby® car by 2 p.m. in the museum’s Best In Show competition. Cars will be awarded based on visual design.

The Indiana State Museum and Crossroads of America Council, BSA invite race participants to return for the second greatest spectacle in racing! Visit the museum to race Pinewood Derby® cars down the two-story, 125-foot race track and watch them speed across the finish line!
