Community Festivals are such a fun treat for everyone! I just love it when the whole town/city/neighborhood gets together and hangs out just for the heck of it! The Fishers Freedom Festival takes place on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th and is a long time tradition that started small and now has HUGE corporate sponsors as well as smaller sponsors — all whom love Fishers.
Not just fireworks (Saturday night at dusk) and a parade (Sunday at 4pm), the FFF has a Children’s Parade (Sunday at 10am), a teen music tent, a free rock climbing wall, free game tent, a Kiddie Run, a 5k and Family Fun Walk, a kids tent, a craft fair and a scuba diving pool. There’s so much more but you’ll just have to go if you want to know!
Admission to the Fishers Freedom Festival is free but the Festival encourages participants to donate canned foods, baby food, nonperishable goods, disposable diapers, cleaning supplies, school supplies and/or toiletries, new toys, games, books and puzzles. Items will go to local pantries which service Fishers and the Festival’s “Roy G. Holland Backpacks for Kids” program. The Festival takes place at the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park (1 Park Drive) off Holland Drive & Ellipse Parkway in Fishers. For more information, please visit the website for the Fishers Freedom Festival.
