We really like to do anything that gets us outdoors and inspires us to dig in our own garden. Orchard in Bloom is a garden show that raises funds for outdoor education programs for Indianapolis students.
The event takes place at Holliday Park (6363 Spring Mill Road), Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th and will be held rain or shine. Which is a good thing considering the past few weeks. Admission is $12 at the gate. A three day pass is only $15. Kids 14 and under are FREE! There is free parking and shuttle service at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street.
Holliday Park is a beautiful setting for the 24th annual fundraiser that raises money for outdoor education programs for the children of Indianapolis.
While gardens are the focal point of Orchard in Bloom, kids will be entertained and learn a lot at the Children’s Tent: Kids Creation Nation.
As always, children 14 and younger enter Orchard In Bloom for free. At the Kids Creation Nation tent, children have the chance to plant their own dinner and take home a pizza, taco or salad garden. They can paint a pot and plant a flower for Mother’s Day! Kid-friendly companies Gymboree, Bongo Boys, Neon Tiki Tribe, Royal Pin Bowling, the Pacer Fan Van, Kidz Art and Hugabug will all be on hand to entertain the younger set during the May 3-5 Garden Show. In addition, kids will enjoy sand art, spin art, an obstacle course and scavenger hunt!
At the Garden Cafe, the Traders Point Creamery is debuting its newest product, grab and go yogurt and milk shots in recyclable glass containers. Children can enjoy a snack at the Cafe, then take the glass container down to Kids Creation Nation to decorate and plant flowers inside. Fresh Market is adding healthy snacks to the Garden Cafe offerings this year as well.
We’re giving away FOUR pairs of tickets to this year’s event! Enter below!
