Our family is a big fan of the arts, so when we saw that the musical production of Peter Pan was coming to Indianapolis, we were immediately excited – add that it was at Beef and Boards and I knew we had to go!
Our evening started after being seated at one of the tables on the tiered seating area in the theatre. Being that two of the patrons in our party were children, I appreciated this style of seating, as it ensured everyone had the best seat in the house. After being greeted, we proceeded to enjoy a delicious buffet that included a salad bar, mashed potatoes, several vegetables, macaroni and cheese, fish, chicken tenders, and roast beef. Both the children and the adults in our group devoured dinner – yet still had room for dessert and coffee (dessert can be enjoyed following dinner or during intermission).
Shortly after the conclusion of dinner the performance began thus continuing our night of fun! My oldest son is quite familiar with the story of Peter Pan, and this production has all of the highlights you’d expect – Captain Hook and his band of pirates, the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily, and of course FLYING! The actors are animated and captivating, leaving my 3.5 year old completely entranced – laughing, clapping, and asking to return for another show when the production was over.
Peter Pan is on stage at Beef and Boards for 58 performances from May 14th – July 3rd with tickets ranging from $40-65 a person ($10 discount for children ages 3-15).
