I’ve always loved music. I love that no matter which language you speak, all music sounds the same. I also love that it’s such an easy way to connect with kids. From practically the moment they are born, we are singing to our kids. We teach through music, we counsel through music, and we love through music. There are so many places in our great city for kids who love music, and I’ve done your homework for you—here is a list of places for your music-loving kids to thrive.
The Music Playhouse is an interactive wonderland for kids of all ages. They offer programs for kids from birth to age 6. You can click here to visit their website. The cost for a full 10-week session is $150, which includes the classes, a CD, and a songbook. Dinner and a show? Don’t mind if I do. Beef & Boards also offers children’s theatre, in which the younger kids get to watch a condensed version of a kid’s show, complete with a juice box and a snack. If your kids love the theatre so much that they crave being on the stage, Beef & Boards frequently holds casting calls for children’s roles. You can check out their site here.
