I don’t know about you, but in the winter it seems like I’m always scouring the web for different things to do. I always enjoy branching out and trying something new…especially if it’s FREE! So, here are our picks for the best FREE activities for preschoolers in the Indy area!

Celebrate the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – January 16-18th

Many area museums are offering free admission and special programs to celebrate MLK Day.

Bundle up and head to the Indianapolis Executive Airport to watch Planes 2: Fire and Rescue on the big screen! This event is held in an airplane hangar so dress accordingly and bring blankets/chairs!

 

Paws to Read: Reading with Therapy Dogs – various dates and locations

Cuddle up with a book and an equally cuddly therapy dog at area local bookstores and library locations!

Monkey Business Preschool Art Workshops – various dates and locations

Preschoolers are invited to grab their yellow hats and bring their favorite curious little monkeys to a mixed media workshop led by The Art Lab and inspired by the book, “Curious George Builds a House.” Space is limited. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
