2017 Easter Egg Hunts Guide | Indianapolis and Surrounding Areas

 

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, flowers are starting to bloom and Spring is in the air! Spring also brings fun-filled Easter events! Check out all of the wonderful places your family can search for Easter Eggs this year, there are so many! Thank you to all of the fabulous organizations that provide these hunts for our children, many of them organized by volunteers and provided at no cost! Do you have information on another Easter event that isn’t on our list? Please contact us.

As with all events listed on Indy with Kids, please call ahead or check the organization’s website to be sure they have not changed their times or details.

Brownsburg Parks Easter Egg Hunt at Arbuckle Acres Park
On Saturday, April 8th, head to Arbuckle Acres Park for an egg hunt for ages 6 months to 12 years of age. The Easter Bunny will arrive for photos with kids at 9:30 a.m. The egg hunt begins at 11 a.m.

2nd Annual Autism Awareness Easter Egg Hunt in Lafayette
Lots of activities inside. Vendors, performers, Minnie Mouse will be visiting, food, raffles, and so much more. The Egg Hunt will be held outside. It is for children 8 & Under. Parents will not be allowed with children over 3 yrs unless they have special needs. It is also open to 16 & under with special needs.

Moonlight Madness Easter Egg Hunt at Broad Ripple Park
Hop on out to Broad Ripple Park for an ‘egg-stra’ special flashlight Surprise egg hunt. Games, arts, crafts and refreshments are all part of this fun program. Be sure you bring a flashlight and dress appropriately.

Brownsburg Parks Easter Egg Hunt at Arbuckle Acres Park
Egg hunt is for ages 6 months to 12 years of age. The Easter Bunny will arrive for photos with kids at 9:30 a.m. The egg hunt begins at 11 a.m.

Noblesville Parks & Hare Chevrolet Easter Egg Hunt at Forest Park
Search for eggs loaded with surprises, listen to the DJ, jump in the bounce house and enjoy much more fun which includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny! Egg Hunt held at Forest Park Shelter #5. Children will be divided into age groups. Ages 1-2; 3-4; 5-6; 7-10. Noblesville Sunrisers Kiwanis will be hosting a pancake breakfast in conjunction with the Easter Egg Hunt at the Forest Park Inn from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. A $5 donation per each breakfast purchased goes to a children’s charity.

Westfield Egg Drop at Grand Park
This free event will feature 2 separate drops, bounce houses and games. There will be designated areas for preschoolers and elementary students. Registration required. Please see the above link for full details.

Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza at Allisonville Christian Church
Enjoy a bounce house, music, arts and crafts, and of course, an egg hunt for the little ones! Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and egg hunt will be at 11 a.m. Visit the above link for full details.

Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Wellbrooke of Carmel
This free community event includes face painting, door prizes, refreshments and a bounce house.

Egg Hunt & Pancake Breakfast at New Joy Lutheran Church

Easter Eggstravaganza at Witham Family YMCA
A twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt — an underwater egg hunt! Two different time slots this year: 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Each time slot will last one hour and will be broken up into skill levels. $5 per child and the public is welcome! Community Easter Egg Hunt at Washington Township Park
Join your friends from Changes Home Care and other companies in Hendricks County for a FREE Easter Egg Hunt and Community Event!

Sensory Easter Egg Hunt at Washington Township Park Pavilion Center
This event held from 9am to noon is designed to give children a chance to hunt for Easter Eggs in a controlled, quiet, non-chaotic environment. Each age group will have a different start time. Groups of 5 children hunt at a time in their own area. Each child will receive 20 Easter Eggs. This is a free event but registration is REQUIRED. Free brunch provided and serve by Gracepointe Church. Easter Egg Hunt at Danville Public Library
Children ages 2-9 are invited to an Easter egg hunt at the Library on April 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Children will have time to visit with the Easter Bunny and make a craft. Registration required at the above link.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hummel Park
This event features the Easter Bunny arriving via fire truck, egg hunts also divided by age group on the baseball and softball fields, prize giveaways, and a bounce house for younger kids. This Easter Egg Hunt event is FREE!

Easter on the Prairie

Easter at the Indianapolis Zoo
Among the many activities happening at the zoo, families can join in on a non-traditional egg hunt adding a “wild” spin with no basket required. Join in the fun and find the large Zoo-themed eggs hidden throughout the Zoo and White River Gardens. Simply make note of the locations for at least 10 of the 19 egg pictures to receive a special prize from the White River Gardens Gift Shop.

Park Naturalists have hidden camouflaged eggs, filled with nature clues, along two of our family favorite trails. Each trail has a different level of difficulty, meant for different age groups. Don’t forget to wear hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water! Free and open to all ages. Easter Egg Hunt at Lions Park in Zionsville
Festivities begin at 9:30 AM and the first egg hunt starts at 10:30 AM.   Starting at 9:00 AM, we are having a continental breakfast / breakfast burrito (for a donation).  The egg hunt age groups are as follows: 1-2 years; 3-4 years; 5-6 years; 7 and up.

The Color Hunt at Northside Church of the Nazarene in Muncie
