Asia Meets Indy at Asian Fest in Garfield Park

Did you know that Thailand has so many different types of fruit trees that bear delicious fruit that our grocery stores have never even carried? I only know this because of the kids at my work. Most of the kids I work with have spent several years of their lives in Thailand and they tell me all about the beautiful flowers and fruit that are native to Thailand. I’ve decided that a visit to Thailand is in my near future. Seriously.

The Asian American Alliance and Indy parks are bringing Asia right here to Indianapolis in Garfield park. There will be special emphasis and focus on beautiful Thailand. Oh please, please bring us some wonderful fruit to try!

On Saturday, June 9th from 11am-5pm, enjoy ethnic dance, music, food, colorful costumes, games like Mahjong and children’s activities. Admission is free, food from local restaurants will be available for purchase.
