My husband and I are both classically trained musicians, yet we are terrible at exposing our children to good music productions. In fact, all eight of our children just saw their first choral concert and marching band (inner geek alert!) last month! We aren’t exactly stellar in this area. They’ve at least seen some theater and dance, so that counts for something, right? Right?!

With all the shows in the Indianapolis area this time of year, though, we have every opportunity to change our parenting ways. (Disclaimer: If you don’t expose your kids to the arts, it doesn’t make you a bad parent… 😉) Here is a list of music, theater, and dance performances around Indy you can attend to make memories with your family and celebrate the season.

Looking for Nutcracker performances? Here’s where you can see the Nutcracker Ballet around Indianapolis with your kids!
