Who doesn’t love a good cupcake? Local businesses have popped up for the past decade, offering the best cupcakes in Indiana. It’s easy to find cake decorating classes, but until now, we haven’t had one of those super trendy cake decorating studios. For quite some time, Indy parents have seen situations on reality television shows where parents and children meet up for a cake-decorating playdate. The kids create lavish cupcakes or amateur decorated cakes. Best friends sit around, therapeutically frosting desserts as they work through the latest on-screen drama. Well, now Indy is on par with big cities. We have Cake Kreations.
Cake Kreations
Cake Kreations (formerly Cake Bake Kreations, recently rebranded to avoid confusion with a certain other business in town) is not technically a bakery. But they do have cakes and cupcakes for you to purchase and decorate. All the supplies are in the studio, ready for use. Picture icing in a dozen colors, all of the sprinkles and toppings and candy decor you can imagine, and even little tools to add detail.
The best part? There’s only one rule: You may not clean up. The Cake Kreations hosts will take care of the baking, the setup, and the cleanup! All you do is show up and decorate!
At this time, you must book your session in advance using the Cake Kreations website. From there, you select what you’d like to decorate. Cupcakes come in white, chocolate, and confetti flavors, but special edition offerings are sometimes available. Gluten-free confetti cupcakes are available upon request.
You’ll need to plan ahead and purchase your session at least one day before you plan to visit. When you arrive, check in at the desk, and the team will get you started. They’re there to answer questions and help along the way.
Cake Kreations (Cake Bake Kreations) is located at the Greenwood Park Mall near the children’s play area. Enter through the North entrance, near Bar Louie and BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse.
