February 18th – Cat in the Hat Story Time at The Urban Chalkboard

Meet The Cat in The Hat in person! Cat is will be in full costume at The Urban Chalkboard Story Time this Thursday February 18 at 10:00. Kids will listen to Cat read one of his famous books, ask questions of the Cat, and get a photo with Cat. Story Time is in partnership with Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre.

February 23 – March 3, 2016 The Cat in the Hat live at the Tarkington
The story comes to life on stage, just in time for the birthday of Dr. Seuss! This 40 minute show is a hit with all ages. Tickets: Adults $15, Students $10 (under 18) Group Tickets: $8 per student.
Sensory friendly performances February 27th – 2pm and March 1st – 10am.

The Art of Dr. Seuss Art Gallery at the Fashion Mall/Keystone at the Crossing
Open year round. The Art of Dr. Seuss Gallery is located on the upper level, across from Banana Republic. You’ll see reproductions of original drawings, paintings and sculptures created by the celebrated children’s author. Admission is free.

Saturday, February 27, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Baxter YMCA Kids Night Out
Fun for ages 6 weeks – 12 years. Theme: Dr. Seuss. Enjoy an evening out while the kids are entertained in Child Watch. Please register by the Friday prior to the scheduled event but late registrations may be accepted for a $5 late fee if space is available. Pizza, fruit and drinks will be served for dinner. Snacks will also be provided. Members $23 + $10 additional child/non member $31 + 15 per additional child. Register at Member Services.

Tuesday, March 1, 6 – 7:30 p.m. Dr. Seuss’ Birthday at the Jordan YMCA
Fun for the whole family. Jump into a night of fun celebrating this great literary figure. There will be stories, crafts, literacy activities and Seussical snacks! Please pre-register for this event at the Member Service Desk. Free for members, $3 per person for non-members.

Celebrate the birthday of everyone’s favorite doctor, Dr. Seuss, with games, stories, crafts, and more! Free.


Wednesday, March 2, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Noblesville Library, A Tribute to Dr. Seuss
Enjoy Don Miller’s Tribute to Dr. Seuss Show in honor of the birthday of this classic children’s author. This is a fun family show great for kids in Pre-K through grade 3. Stay after the show to make a Dr. Seuss craft to take home. Free.

Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss at the Plainfield Library
Celebrate one America’s favorite authors with stories, games, food and birthday festivities. All ages welcome to join in the fun in the Children’s Activity Room. Free.

Theme: Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Celebration, for ages 2 months – 12 years. $24 per person members/$32 per child non-member. Discounts for multiple children in same family. Activities include dinner, crafts, fun games, a movie, and swimming (ages 3 and up). Register at Member Services desk.
