Early Readers Program from United Way of Central Indiana

We read at the library story time!

The United Way of Central Indiana has a wonderful program that children in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion and Morgan counties can be a part of. The Early Readers program provides children with 12 books per year from birth to age 6.

Brand new, beautiful, high quality (often award winning) books arrive by mail four times per year (3 each quarter). All of this in an effort to encourage parents and caregivers to read to children regularly. We read to Lulu every single day — sometimes at night before bed, sometimes when she is sitting in the bath or on the potty, sometimes in the car and sometimes during the day when she brings up a book. ERP has assisted us in building a wonderful library for Lulu and baby Blueberry.

We read with family

Lulu loves books and we’re so thankful for this program. The Early Readers Program is $30 per year per child but there are several scholarships available each year thanks to the generosity of others. Click here to register online . To print a form to mail in click here.
