The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, flowers are starting to bloom and Spring is in the air! Spring also brings fun-filled Easter events and Easter egg hunts! Check out all of the wonderful places your family can search for Easter Eggs this year, there are so many! Thank you to all of the fabulous organizations that provide these Easter events for our children, many of them organized by volunteers and provided at no cost! Here are even more free ideas of things to do in Indy for spring break.

Saturday, March 17
March 17 from 9 am-noon is designed to give children a chance to hunt for Easter Eggs in a controlled, quiet, non-chaotic environment. Each age group will have a different start time. This is a free event but registration is REQUIRED.
Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23
Custom made for preschoolers (ages 3-6) and parents or caregivers. Decorate your own basket and hunt for eggs to put in it. Register for either March 22nd or 23rd from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Cost: $11 youth member and $12 youth non-member.
March 23rd from 7:30-9 pm $11 per participant
Hop on out to Broad Ripple Park for an ‘egg-stra’ special flashlight Surprise egg hunt. Games, arts, crafts and refreshments are all part of this fun program. Be sure you bring a flashlight and dress appropriately. Limited space, so sign up now! Pre-Registration is required!

March 24, 2pm to 4pm. This free egg hunt is full of fun! Children will be divided in to age groups for a traditional egg hunt. Great prizes, games and photos with the Easter Bunny.
March 24 from 10:30-11:45 am Get ready for one spectacular egg hunt. All kinds of candy and prizes will be hidden. There will be “egg”citing crafts, games, the bunny hop and best of all a visit from our big cuddly Bunny! Space is limited so sign up now. Pre-Registration is required!
Enjoy crafts, music and celebrations! Children will race to roll their decorated eggs through the grass as the Easter Bunny cheers them on. This lively event is free for both children and their parents, but space is limited so reserve your spot today!
March 24, head to Arbuckle Acres Park for an egg hunt for ages 6 months to 12 years of age. 9 am photos with Easter Bunny and 11 am egg hunt.
March 24th, choose from either 9-11 am or 1-3 pm, Registration is $10/child (ages 2 and up) and includes: Games and Crafts, Family Hayrides, Visiting our Barnyard Babies, Play & Explore Kid’s Area. Hunt times will be at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 pm Two chances to eat with the Piney Bunny! Breakfast is served at 8:30 and is available until the egg hunt starts. Price is $6 Kid’s Plate, $8 Full Plate. Lunch will be served from 12:30-2:30 Price is $6 Hot Dog, $8 Chili Dog, Sloppy Joe or Pulled Pork. Registration required! Space is limited to 300 kids. March 24, Search for eggs loaded with surprises, listen to the DJ, jump in the bounce house and enjoy much more fun which includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny! Egg Hunt held at Forest Park Shelter #5. Children will be divided into age groups. Ages 1-2; 3-4; 5-6; 7-10. Noblesville Sunrisers Kiwanis will be hosting a pancake breakfast in conjunction with the Easter Egg Hunt at the Forest Park Inn from 8am-10:30 a.m. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. A $5 donation per each breakfast purchased goes to a children’s charity. Activities begin at 10 a.m. and the hunt begins promptly at 11 a.m.
March 24, Thousands of plastic Easter eggs will be dropped from a hot air balloon. Pre-register your children to participate in one of four age-specific egg hunts with 10,000 eggs! The Waterline Church Easter Egg Drop is a FREE Easter Egg Hunt open to the first 750 pre-registered children in our community up to age 10. Event is held from 10 am-1 pm
March 24, A twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt – an underwater egg hunt! Two different time slots this year: 10 a.m. and 11 am Each time slot will last 40 minutes and will be broken up into skill levels. $5 member fee and $10 non-member fee per child. March 24, Join your friends from Changes Home Care in Hendricks County for a FREE Easter Egg Hunt and Community Event! The fun starts at 10 a.m. with egg hunts at: 11 am. for ages 1 to 4; 11:30 am for ages 5 to 8; and noon for ages 9 am-noon.

March 24, at the Grand Park Sports Campus in partnership with the City of Westfield and local churches. This event will also include inflatable bounce houses and slides, face-painting, photo booth pictures, carnival games, an inflatable toddler play area and other fun activities – all FREE! The registration code for this year’s event will go out in the March 13th edition of the Current in Westfield and Current in Carmel Newspapers. Pre-Registration for Westfield residents will begin on March 14th with open registration on March 16.

March 25th, Gates open at 4 pm Bring the whole family to see skydivers drop easter eggs! The Egg Drop is a FREE Easter Egg Hunt open to our community for kids up to 11 years old. More than 20,000 Easter Eggs will be filled with candy! Concessions will be available and door prizes will be given away!
March 25th from noon to 1 pm Rain or shine event. The Easter Egg Hunt will be separated by 4 different age groups. The Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities! Don’t forget your baskets!
Monday, March 26
March 26th The event will be held at the Maple Grove Picnic area starting at 10 a.m. for children ages 0-12. HSP is asking for a $3 donation per car to participate. After the Egg Hunt families are welcome to stay and enjoy an afternoon in the park! The events starts promptly at 2 pm, and you’ll want to arrive early to find parking and get your child to the right area for their age group. Tuesday, March 27
March 27th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm $14/person. This program includes a retired LEGO Easter set, which includes two-minifigures and a bunch of unique pieces! This Brick-Mania event also includes a chance to view a special LEGO holiday diorama , the opportunity to free-build with the department’s collection of building blocks and the opportunity to purchase “build your own” mini-figures! Start your engines and race to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for one of the fastest egg hunts in history. This is a free event but a waiver is required to participated. Kids Club members get a free breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

Join Us for Our 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Clay Terrace Presented by Goldfish Swim School – Carmel! The hunt will be located in The Clay Terrace Lawn behind Kona Grill, Inc. and Mitchell’s Fish Market. This year we have thousands of eggs for your little ones to hunt for!

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt at Indy Island – Indy Parks and Recreation
Get ready for one spectacular egg hunt! There will be an “egg”citing underwater egg hunt, candy, prizes, and a visit from Grant the Gator! Its only $5 for the egg hunt and $3 pool admission for those that participate! Space is limited so sign up now!

Among the many activities happening at the zoo, families can join in on a non-traditional egg hunt adding a “wild” spin with no basket required. Join in the fun and find the large Zoo-themed eggs hidden throughout the Zoo and White River Gardens. Simply make note of the locations for at least 10 of the 19 egg pictures to receive a special prize from the White River Gardens Gift Shop.

March 31st 11am-3 pm Park Naturalists have hidden camouflaged eggs filled with nature clues along two of our family favorite trails. Each trail has a different level of difficulty meant for different age groups. The clue tucked inside each egg will help you answer a question on your scavenger hunt sheet. Find all of the answers and turn in your worksheet to the Nature Center to claim your prize! Don’t forget to wear hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water! This event is FREE to attend, appropriate for all ages, and no advance registration is required.

March 31st The venue’s annual free Easter Egg Hunt, rain or shine. Begins at 11:30 am sharp, so arrive early. Reservations required. Free.
March 31st Noon to 3 pm Registration required. This event is FREE and is a combination between a traditional Easter egg hunt and a color run. When the kids go out to collect the eggs, they will get color powder thrown at them. If weather permits, we will have a sprinkler that the children can run through prior to the hunt so that the color powder will stick better to their clothing. Wear sunglasses or goggles to protect your eyes and bring a towel. There will be several prizes given away throughout the day.
