easter egg hunts indianapolisFebruary 2015 – As an older child in southern California, there’s really only one Easter egg hunt that I ever heard about, and I wanted an invitation…the Easter Egg Hunt at the Playboy Mansion. The lifestyle of most invitees doesn’t really align with my daily life..but Oh.My.Gosh! I would NEVER turn down an invitation to that party!

The other Easter egg hunt on my “MUST DO” list is the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. This will be the 137th year for the Easter Egg Roll on the lawn at the White House. President Rutherford B. Hayes started this tradition and now the First Lady and President Obama will invite 35,000 people to take part in this celebration on Monday, April 6th. It’s quite a drive from our home in Indianapolis, but if I was invited to be a guest of the President and First Lady, I’d be there in a heartbeat!

Tickets are free and are available in a lottery. The lottery takes place Monday, February 23 until Thursday, February 26 at 12 p.m. EST.. Go to this website, register and get on the list! The results (invitations) will be available on March 5.

Also, there’s a really cool contest for all elementary school kids. Submit a design for the souvenir program and poster event!
