Although there are MANY benefits of taking swim lessons at a young age, perhaps none are as important as this:
Taking swim lessons is shown to reduce the risk of death by drowning up to 88%!!

If that alone was the only reason to take lessons, it would be quite a compelling argument. What many people may not realize are the added benefits from taking lessons.

Several examples are:

Acceleration of Cognitive Development

Studies have shown that children under the age of 5 who are enrolled in lessons are more advanced in their cognitive, and physical development.

Strengthen social-confidence

Swimming lessons help children better adapt to new situations, and gain self-confidence overcoming adversities encountered through the process of learning to swim.

One of my personal favorite reasons:

Swim Lessons boost the development of the whole child

Think of all the abilities that are utilized while learning to swim: coordination, intelligence, problem solving, self discipline and self esteem.

As you can tell, I am pretty passionate about swimming. My hope is that all children not only gain the above abilities, but also learn to love a life long sport that is one of life’s greatest joys.

Personally, we would love it if you joined us at Goldfish, but getting your children involved in swimming at a young age should be everyones priority, no matter where you do it.
