Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center

Grab your hiking boots and head to Eagle Creek Park! Books and Boots takes place during school breaks and makes a perfect staycation activity for those looking for some outdoor adventure.

These programs start in the Earth Discovery Center where you’ll read a book. For the fall session of Books and Boots, you will be reading Planting the Wild Garden by Kathryn O. Galbraith. This book celebrates seeds! How do seeds travel? Who eats seeds? Why do some seeds stick to us? Once the book is finished, you will hit the trails and search for seeds. Come dressed for the weather and being outdoors.

This program is free with park admission. There is no need to register. An adult must stay with their children for the duration of the program.

Two Sessions:
Friday, October 18
Thursday, October 24
Sessions will be the same book and same explorations, but you are welcome to attend both sessions.
Meet at the Earth Discovery Center.
Program will run from 10-11:30 am.
Recommended for ages 5-9.
