Enjoy a free festival that provides hands on STEM activities for kids of all ages. Visit an exciting variety of booths with guaranteed fun! This year’s event will provide even the youngest members of our community an opportunity to become engaged in science exploration and investigation. Celebrate Science Indiana will, for the first time, have an early childhood area for Pre-K through 1st grade students. Area museums and current schoolteachers will be on site managing this interactive space. This truly means that Celebrate Science Indiana is an event with something for all ages.
In fact, we are sure everyone will enjoy visiting another new area this year, the Lego Center provided by BrickworldTM. Students and younger visitors will enjoy stopping by the Indy Book Project booth to receive a free science-themed book while supplies last.
When it comes to nature and natural phenomena there is a lot to see and do. The Indianapolis Zoo, the IUPUI Department of Biology, Chemistry is a Blast, the National Weather Service, and the Indiana State Museum, just to name a few, will be present leading student focused activities all day. Learn about famous Indiana scientists and visit the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana booth to find out more about scouting and the scout programs they offer.
