The Urban Chalkboard
Inspired by Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning, Cheyenne will provide provocations and invitations for your child that include natural materials, sensory experiences, small world play, loose parts play, light exploration, messy play, process art, and much more. Playdoh, pinecones, shadows, water, magnets, rocks, fabric, feathers, sticks, the materials are simple and…deconstructed. Each week your child will make sense of the world around them by exploring and investigating materials that provoke wonder, discussion, question, interest, and creativity. Take a moment to sit back and observe what your child is drawn to when the play is open-ended and the learning is self-directed. Deconstructed Play will inspire curiosity and create a language rich learning space for you to engage with your child. This class is included with admission to the play café. Reservations are strongly encouraged and may be made via the link below.
Appropriate for children age 12 months to 5 years. Children younger than 3 years of age must have an adult present with them in the studio.
