Egg Hunt for ages 1-8 (kids are divided by ages into separate areas for 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 & 7-8 yrs)

Donnner Park

Saturday, April 15th at 10:00 a.m.

Columbus Parks and Recreation co-sponsors this hunt with a local radio station 1010 WCSI.  It’s a 50+ year partnership.  Typically have over 3000+ eggs and additional prizes for the kids.  All the age areas are marked with flagging & signage so parents know which area their child needs to go to.  We do not have any registration for the event.  Each age area has an egg or 2 with a “grand prize coupon” that they redeem for a larger prize.  Each year the larger prizes are different, it depends on what local businesses donate.  All age groups start at the same time, 10:00am.  The hunt only lasts a couple of minutes, but it’s fun!  Folks usually start arriving around 30-45 minutes ahead of time to get a good spot around the areas.  We have the local sheriff’s dept., police dept., and Columbus Fire Dept. here at 9am with police cars & fire trucks for the kids to look at before the hunt starts.  The Easter bunny is also here to greet the kids & have pictures taken with them.
