The Plainfield Department of Public Works is hosting their Annual Summer Plant Tours this year! Those interested may choose to visit the Water Treatment Plant, located at 1090 S. Center St., or the Waste Water Plant, located at 990 S. Center St. any of the three tour days at 6 p.m.
Our doors are open, you pick the day and the facility to visit!
Many have visited with interest in seeing how wastewater gets treated so that it can be returned to the ecosystem.
This informational program is open to the public. DPW encourages you to come in and meet the staff and walk with them through the various DPW locations.
No reservations are necessary. In the event of stormy weather, the scheduled tour will be cancelled.
