Indiana State Museum


Small Wonders is a monthly program that invites parents, grandparents and caregivers to bring their little ones to learn, play and discover in the museum. This program is for 3- to 5-year-olds and an adult.

SEPTEMBER – Artful Play: This month, your child will become a musician as he or she takes part in interactive musical storytelling, makes an instrument, explores sound waves and more. Registration is required by Sept. 9 for the Sept 12 program or by Sept. 12 for the Sept. 15 program.

OCTOBER – Playing with Patterns: This month, little ones will build with toy bricks and make their own artwork using blocks and paint, among other activities. Registration is required by Oct. 7 for the Oct. 10 program or Oct. 10 for the Oct. 13 program.

NOVEMBER – Matter Mysteries: Solid or Liquid: This month, your little one will get messy as they explore different states of matter, including a mysterious substance called “oobleck” and conduct experiments. Registration is required by Nov. 11 for the Nov. 14 program or Nov. 14 for the Nov. 17 program.
