Cool Creek Nature Center

As you celebrate Earth and Arbor Days, we hope you will include a visit to the Cool Creek Nature Center for an open-house style celebration of our wonderful planet! Earth Day and Arbor Day crafts will be available throughout the day, various native trees in bare-root seedling form will be available for free, milkweed seed packets will be available, a reading of “The Lorax”, and two fun hikes will be offered. While you are here, we hope you will enjoy our exhibits which can give you ideas on ways you can make your yard more nature friendly.

Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax” Reading
Arbor Day wouldn’t be complete without a reading of Dr. Seuss’”The Lorax!” Kids and kids at heart will enjoy this classic story and learn how the Lorax continues to teach others how to “speak for the trees.” We will meet inside the nature center for
this story reading.
Time: 10:00 am

Spring Wildfllower Walk
Walk with a naturalist along the wooded trails to enjoy the beautiful blossoms in the park. Don’t miss out as these enchanting spring ephemerals show off their beauty for a limited time. This walk will begin inside the nature center.
