Indiana History Center | Historical Society

Indulge in a winter wonderland of 92 beautifully decorated trees and special programs at the Festival of Trees. There’s something magical happening every day.

Elf on a Shelf – Where is Hoosier Buddy, the History Center’s Elf on the Shelf, today? Check their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages for a clue. Tell the Welcome Center staff you found him for a prize.

Where’s the Weihnachtsgurke? – See if you can spot the 10 pickle ornaments hiding in different trees all over the building.

Holiday Sing-Along – Jump into the holiday spirit in the Cole Porter Room and sing along with traditional carols.

Every Saturday and Sunday from Thanksgiving to Christmas, Santa strolls through the History Center from noon to 4 p.m., handing out special treats to children of all ages. He’ll stop for breaks in the Citizens Energy Santa’s Reading Nook at 1 and 3 p.m. for storytime with the little ones. Saturdays also include special crafts and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
