Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center
Did you know that Eagle Creek Park is home to the first floating wetland in the state? During this program, we will hike about 1/2 mile from the Earth Discovery Center to the location of the floating wetlands. While at the wetlands, we will discuss the importance of these man-made habitats and a little about the process it took to establish the wetlands at the park. We will return to the Earth Discovery Center by hiking about 1/2 mile back. We will encounter some hills along this hike.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather. In case of thunderstorms, this program will be cancelled. Our Nature Discovery Classes are free with park admission.
