Dive into a world of investigation and discovery during these two-hour classes designed to stimulate a child’s interest in science, art, history and culture. Classes usually occur on the first Tuesday of the month, and adults join their learners for an interactive family experience. This program is for youth ages 6 through 13.
SEPTEMBER – Felrath Hines – Connecting Art & Geometry: Discover what art and geometry have in common while exploring It’s About Time: The Artwork of Felrath Hines, then create a masterpiece of your very own.
OCTOBER – Spooky Science: Discover why some minerals glow in the dark, what makes your hair stand on end and more while exploring the science behind the spooky!
NOVEMBER – Our Voice, Our Vote: Learn about the election process and how women earned the right to vote 100 years ago!
DECEMBER – Take Me to the Moon: Engineer your very own rocket and launch it! Then, build a shock-absorbing system that will protect your astronauts when they land.
