The fifth annual Hoops & Heroes charity basketball game, slated to take place on Saturday, October 6, celebrates IFD and IMPD as they face off to benefit survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Tip-off for the basketball game is at 6:15 p.m., and doors open at 5 p.m. In addition to the showcase game between IMPD and IFD, fans will have plenty to do and see before and during the game. Activities include:

• Stations for families to explore police and fire equipment on display.
• An appearance by former Pacer player and contestant on Survivor, Scot Pollard.
• A Pregame Jr. Pacers and Jr. Fever skills challenge hosted by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.
• Opportunities to meet and greet the Pacemates and Fever Inferno Hip-Hop Squad.
• Presentation of the flags by the Indianapolis Fire Department’s Honor Guard.
• Mascots, including McGruff, Boomer, and Freddy Fever, will be in attendance.
• Halftime entertainment provided by BOOMER AND THE HIGH FLYING POWER PACK DUNK SQUAD!
• Raffle items available to win.
