Indianapolis is home to some pretty famous street festivals and to say that the Italian Street Festival is a local favorite would be an understatement. Here’s everything we know about Indianapolis favorite Italian Festival. Children AND adults love this festival!
Indy Italian Festival
Holy Rosary Church plays an incredible host to the masses on June 14th & 15th. This free festival offers homemade Italian classics for purchase; food, wine and beer are all abundant at this street festival. A jam packed schedule on the entertainment stage brings all of your local favorites to the line up and the brightly lit up midway will have everyone’s favorite carnival rides and games. This festival takes over a few blocks and streets near downtown Indy and it’s a lot of fun!
Italian Festival Food
The most important piece to any Italian festival is the food, and the Indy Italian Fest won’t be the exception; homemade spaghetti and Alfredo sauces atop hot pasta, fried ravioli, tortellini, antipasto salad, Italian sausage, homemade pizza, bread sticks, meatball subs, homemade cannoli, homemade cheesecake are all features of the robust menu.
How Much is Admission to the Italian Fest?
Admission to the festival is free. Food and beverage items are available for sale using tickets. Tickets are $1 each and available at the ticket booths located within the festival. Food and beverage items cost 4-6 tickets each. The midway carnival rides require a separate fee and we have been told they only accept cash.
What to Bring to the Italian Fest
Bring your own chair or picnic blanket, most seating is lawn seating. Bring money if you plan on enjoying the famous food and beverages. Bring cash if you’d like to ride the carnival rides.
Beer & Wine at Italian Street Fest
Beer will be available for purchase from Metazoa Brewing Company, Two Deep Brewing Company, Budweiser and Peroni. Your favorite Italian red and white wines will be poured – Serena Sweet Red, Rocca Nero d’Avola, Giancarlo Chianti, Dipinti Chardonnay, La Lucca Prosecco, Bricco Mascato, Giancarlo Pinot Gricio and Villa Jolanda – the Blue Moscato.
Where to Park at the Italian Fest
Indy Italian Fest is held annually at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St Indianapolis, Indiana. Free parking is available in the Eli Lilly surface parking lot accessible from East Street. Admission to the festival is free.
