Bring the little ones to explore nature! They start their program by learning about a specific nature topic and then head outside to explore the woods and prairie at preschooler speed. Parents join in to encourage discovery alongside their child. Dress for the weather – they will try to go out every meeting! Give your children the love of nature.
Dates:
August 5 – Who “Dung” It?
Learn what animals have previously crossed your path by the evidence they left behind.
September 9 – It’s Archaeology Month!
Can you meet an archaeologist? Can you touch an ancient artifact? Can you pretend to be an archaeologist? The answer is a resounding YES!
October 7 – Spooky Trees and Other Things
On your hike, you will identify plants and animals that appear in spooky legends or are associated with Halloween.
Ages: Best for preschoolers 3-5 years old
