Preschoolers are invited to learn, play and discover in the Indiana State Museum during this hour-long class. Build your child’s sense of wonder and playfulness as they engage in storytelling, hands-on activities, music, art and more.
Ticket price is $12/child, adults free with paid child, 25% discount for members. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.  Best for ages 3-5.
OCTOBER – SPOOKY SCIENCE
It’s Halloween season, and it’s about to get a little spooky! Make a pumpkin art project, become a scientist during spooky hands-on experiments and have other ghoulish fun.
NOVEMBER – UPCYCLED ENGINEERING
Use your engineering skills to create a project with recycled goods. Explore how one-time-use materials can be used to inspire change and create new things.
DECEMBER – WINTERTIME FUN
Explore what makes winter so chilly with cool hands-on experiments and icy sensory stations, plus create your own snow-inspired artwork and more.
JANUARY – ILLUMINATION INVESTIGATION
Experience the excitement of light and shadows through investigations and experiments. Create a glowing art piece, put on a show with shadow puppets and collaborate with others on a light-inspired activity.
FEBRUARY – MINERALS ROCK!
Explore our rock and mineral collection just in time for GeoFest! Try experiments with minerals, create rock-inspired art and more.
MARCH – BUBBLE BONANZA
Investigate the science of bubbles through hands-on experiments. Get a little soapy with bubble sensory play, create bubble art and enjoy a bubbly story time.
APRIL – LET’S BUILD!
Can you build it? Find out how things are made by building your own creation, and join others to make a collaborative building project.
MAY – SENSE SENSATION
Explore taste, touch, sight, smell and hearing! Learn all about your senses while creating artworks, playing at sensory stations, and working together on STEAM-inspired projects.
