Let’s get creative, naturally! During this program, you will learn the simple steps it takes to make natural walnut ink. Then, it’s time to get creative! You’ll be given paper to practice your skills before putting them to canvas. Once you’re ready, create a miniature work of art on a 4″ X 3″ canvas that comes with its own 6″ easel for ease of display. To allow your creation to dry before the drive home, we will hike out to learn how to identify walnut trees and learn more about the uses of these magnificent trees.
This program is best suited for children and adults who are ages 12 and older. When deciding whether or not your child is old enough to attend, please keep in mind that walnut ink will stain skin and clothing if it is not handled properly. Each participant under the age of 18 must have an adult stay for the duration of the program. This program fee is based on a per canvas fee of $5. If you are a family of 4, but you only wish to have 2 canvases, please select a quantity of 2 when registering. All four participants will be allowed in the program, but only 2 canvases will be given to your family. If every person wants a canvas, please select a quantity of 4.
Special Notes: This program is not suitable for participants with tree nut allergies. Walnut ink will stain. Please do not wear nice clothes to this program.
