Fall Event Capacity and Admission Cost in Indianapolis

As we navigate the return to activities and places that our families love, new questions are being asked. “What sort of modifications are being made for COVID?” and “How many people will be there?” and “Is it inside or outside?”

Dannielle was trying to decide what her comfort level was for each of the fall events and so she started calling and asking the important questions. Here’s what she found out.

All of the attractions listed below require advanced ticketing and tickets are not available at the gate.

Monster Maskarade at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

The Children’s Museum Monster Maskarade is the answer to the canceled annual Haunted House.
Location: Outdoors at The Sports Legends Experience.
Maximum Capacity: 250 people
Cost: $23 per member and $25 per nonmember
COVID Precautions: Masks required.

Zooboo at the Indianapolis Zoo

Location: Mostly outdoors at the Indy Zoo.
Maximum Capacity: 3,000-5,000 people
Cost: $19 – $24 per person. Free for members.

COVID precautions: Everyone must have a mask upon entering the Zoo. Visitors are required to wear a face covering to enter all buildings including restrooms. In addition, the Zoo will require masks to enter aviaries, participate in interactions at Tembo Camp, Giraffe Feeds, Flamingo Feeds and Flamingo Mingle as social distancing is not possible at these activities. Masks must be worn in outdoor areas where social distancing of 6 feet is not possible.

Conner Prairie Headless Horseman

Location: Outdoors at Conner Prairie, no closed tents for 2020,
Maximum Capacity: 2,000 people, 20 people per wagon for the Headless Horseman.
Cost: Thursday or Sunday Tickets: $17 (All members get in free). Friday or Saturday Ticket: $21 (Plus-Level and Above Members get in Free). Tickets must be reserved in advance.
COVID Precautions: Masks are mandatory inside of buildings, bathrooms, admission check-in, and where social distancing isn’t possible. The wagons will be sanitized between rides, all tents are open and the puppet show will take place down at the stage. The haunted corn maze and other outdoor activities will take place but require masks.

Harvest at Newfields Art Museum

Location: Outdoors at the Newfields campus.
Maximum Capacity: Newfields Harvest Day Time – 100 per hour. Typically guests will stay an average of two hours. Newfields Harvest at Night – 200+ people in attendance per hour with an anticipated staying time of 1 1/2 hours.
Cost: Harvest Days admission: $10 – $18. Children 5 and under free. Access Pass members $2. Free for members. Harvest Nights admission: $17 – $25. Children 5 and under are free. Members save $5. Indiana Access Pass member admission is $2.
COVID Precautions: A face covering or mask is required in all public spaces at Newfields. Social distancing is required. Credit or debit cards are the only form of payment accepted at this time.
