During the Friday, November 13th meeting, the Fishers Health Department met to vote on taking measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. The Governor’s orders are a bare minimum of what can be done, local governments have the authority to be more restrictive but cannot be less restrictive.
Hamilton County is in the Orange category of COVID spread.
The Governor’s orders align closely with the recommendations from Dr. Lane, Chief Medical Director of Fishers Health Department and Fishers Public Health Director, Monica Heltz that were presented at the meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
This order is in place effective Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
Social Gathering Restrictions for Fishers
Limiting indoor gatherings to 10 or fewer
Limiting outdoor gatherings to a maximum of 25 people
Extracurricular Activities/Athletics Restrictions
Extracurricular activities and sports may have players, coaches and staff in attendance and family only as spectators in HSE schools until further notice.
Special Event Restrictions
Must have approval of health and safety plan for social gatherings with more than 25 people.
Restaurant Restrictions
Table seating at restaurants will be limited to parties of no more than 8 people
Masks must be worn in restaurants until food arrives at the table and may only be removed to eat and drink
Bar top seating will not be available, only tables
Self service food stations where items are not prepackaged (salad bars, vendor stands) will be closed
Only two people may wait in a restaurant lobby at one time, other must wait outdoors or in vehicles until seated
