Who doesn’t love FREE?? Here’s a list of free activities going on this fall in the Indy area. We will be continuously updating this page, adding more activities and dates, so check back regularly. Want to make sure your free event makes the list? Message us!

Indy Pulse with IMA Teen Art Council – November 5th – 6:30 p.m.

Join the Indianapolis Museum of Art ‘s new Teen Art Council and Indy Pulse as they host a poetry showcase of young writers. All are welcome to this free public event for art making, music, and food prior to the performances.

Turkey Craft Workshop at Beech Grove Public Library – November 10th at 4:00 p.m.

All ages are welcome to this holiday event put on by the Teen Advisory Board!

Scrooge Gives Back – Earn FREE IRT tickets! – November 13th – 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

On November 13th from 3pm-7pm, you can donate food, toys, or blood and in return get a ticket to see A Christmas Carol at the IRT AND have a tour of the backstage (I’ve never done that!)

November Fall Holiday Concert Series – November 18th, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Each month Garfield Park Arts Center offers a few themed concert for all ages. Concerts last around 90 minutes.

America Recycles Day at Holliday Park – November 18th – 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Come make environmentally friendly holiday ornaments, cards, and gift boxes from recycled items! Ages 2 and up.

Digital Little Lab at College Avenue Branch – November 21st – 10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3 – 6 and an adult are invited to a guided learning experience with digital activities. They’ll play with Pleo (the robot dinosaur) and use iPads to create pictures of lines and draw favorite animals and people using shapes. Attendees will receive a list of “best apps” for young children and learn how to use technology as a tool to support learning and development.

Turkey Talk at Eagle Creek – November 21st – 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Gobble, gobble, gobble. As Thanksgiving approaches, stop by to learn more about this unusual bird. There will be a craft for the kiddos.

Turkey Time Storytime Express at the Monon Center – November 24th – 11:00-11:45 a.m.

Themed stories, finger plays, and a craft make up this fast paced storytime designed for children ages 2-5. Read about our experience here.

Nutcracker Ballet Performance at Fishers Library – November 29th – 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Get into the holiday spirit with a very special storytime with the Ballet Theatre of Carmel as costumed ballerinas perform sections of The Nutcracker.

Preschool Art for Cool Cats: Workshop Inspired by Pete the Cat – various November dates

With 4 dates at different libraries around the city this November (and 7 in December, if this month’s dates don’t work), this fun library workshop is not to be missed for your 3-6 year old.

Shake, Rattle and Roll: Baby Music Class – various November dates
