Greenwood Parks and Recreation is ready to get out of the house and they want you to join them in an independent activity that gets everyone out exploring Greenwood Parks and walking trails. Their newest adventure runs through May 18th.
Greenwood Parks Clues Game
The goal is to find out which parks department employee finally “snapped” by locating clues left along the trails in the parks. Participants can print their map from the Greenwood Parks Facebook page (also pictured below) or take a screenshot on their mobile devices and cross clues off as they find them. The remaining clue, location and person are the answer to the puzzle.
In order to participate you’ll need to visit each trail. Feel free to walk, ride, bike or run as you look for the clues. The whole point is to enjoy the park trail system.
Once you have completed the puzzle, you are invited to visit the Greenwood Parks Facebook page and post that you solved the crime and tell them how many “detectives” were in your family. BUT, please do not share the answer to the puzzle, as it will ruin the fun for other people. One lucky group will be drawn to win a parks prize.
Where to look for clues:
- Northwest Trail Park, 1300 Fry Road, Greenwood.
- Northwest Park Annex Trail, 1600 Fry Road, Greenwood.
- Westside Park Trail, 820 West Main Street, Greenwood.
- Play Pocket trail between Craig Park (10 E. Craig Drive, Greenwood) and University Park (200 Legacy Blvd., Greenwood).
Remember to practice social distancing and leave the clues for everyone to enjoy.
