The explosion on the southside of Indianapolis left many residents without their belongings and basic necessities. So many of you are asking how you can help. I’ll update this page as more information comes in.

Volunteers are asked to show up at Southport Presbyterian Church (7525 McFarland Blvd, Indianapolis) after 2pm today (Sunday, November 11th)

If you are looking for practical ways to help RIGHT NOW, you are encouraged to take supplies to your nearest fire station. Needed: baby wipes, diapers, water & pet food. Food and clothing are welcome as well but the other needs are a priority. (Update: Supplies may no longer be needed but financial donations are needed).

The Red Cross is looking for financial donations.

Indy Fire Rescue House will have a donation drive today at Dianna’s Diner (5015 Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis) from 1-6pm. Monetary donations via cash or check, unopened boxes of diapers, baby formula, toiletries, bottled water, and Wal-Mart gift cards are the only items needed at this time. These must be new and unopened items please. Volunteers are welcome. You can also donate online.
