Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Community Day

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Community Day

Take the whole family downtown to Georgia Street (between Meridian and Illinois) for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Community Day on Thursday, August 2nd from 11am-2pm.

At Community Day, meet local law enforcement officers, watch a donut eating contest with local radio celebrities, see exhibits from the Indiana State Police, Indianapolis Fire Department, the Bloodmobile, Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, Emergency Medical Services, FBI, the Crime Lab and Animal Control. And my favorite, meet the Naptown Roller Girls!

There will be free food samples from: Champp’s, Chef’s Academy Indianapolis, Chick-Fil-A, Claddagh Irish Pub, Elbow Room Pub, Greek Islands Restaurant, Hardee’s, Harry & Izzy’s, Hooter’s, Ike & Jonesy’s, Kilroy’s, Red Burrito, Rock Bottom, Starbucks at the Omni Severin and Weber Grill.

We’ve never been to this event before but it looks like it could be fun, especially for kids who are interested in law enforcement. Lulu is obsessed with fire trucks right now and just getting to see a fire truck or a firefighter would be a great time for her!
