Don’t let the cold keep you down and at home. There’s much to do around the Indy area to keep up your spirits with your family this weekend!

Looking for fun and creative opportunities for your little ones? Check out the weekly Gymboree Art Class or see Mr. Daniel LIVE! at the Urban Chalkboard Friday morning. That afternoon, let your inner child out and lace up your ice skates at Perry Park with the whole family. Is Daddy looking for some sweet time with his little girl? Head to one of the many Daddy/daughter Valentine’s dances being offered around the city. Try the 11th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance, My Princess and Me Dance, or the Father Daughter Valentine’s Day Dance at the Fishers YMCA.  Looking for some time without the kids? Enjoy Parents Night Out at Five Seasons.

Saturday morning, have a taste of summer when you visit the Fishers Winter Farmer’s Market. Get stoked about the Super Bowl by participating in a Community Flag Football Game at the Colts Training Complex. If your sweet tooth kicks in, visit Iced Out Cake Shoppe and Characters to celebrate their 1st birthday. Join Indy with Kids at Morty’s Comedy Joint to hear Voices 4 Children. If you have a K-5th grader who loves to cook, let them participate in the Junior Chef Cooking Program. Finally that evening, wind down with a theatre production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid or Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Start off your Sunday morning in nature with a bird hike at Cool Creek Park and Nature Center or Eagle Creek Ornithology Center. If family-friendly competition is your thing, go to the Free Pokemon League and Family Gametime or cheer on our Indy Fuel Hockey team. To round out with a musical side, attend Hot Jazz for Cool Kids at the Central Library. And to finish your weekend, enjoy Open Swim Time at the Stony Creek Swim Center.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
