UPDATE: My Toy Garden closed it’s doors during the summer of 2014.
I tell you over and over again about how much we love books and we love reading in our family. If I had a week in the middle of nowhere I would be satisfied with a a few good books. I’ve always been that way. Imagine our happiness over the fact that Lulu shares my and my husbands love for reading! Prayerfully Scoutie will also love reading.
Storytimes outside of our home are some of Lulu’s favorite special activities and rewards for doing good things and helping out around the house (yes, she has tasks in our home). A new storytime location that we just found is at My Toy Garden (book and toy store) (301 E. Carmel Dr., Ste. A500, Carmel – 317.571.1234). Janet, the Toy Lady loves what she does and has a passion for education and learning through play. The story times at My Toy Garden alternate days of the week so that everyone might have a chance to attend, no matter their school/daycare schedule.
Concerts, educational workshops, storytimes, crafts and more are a wonderful service that she brings to our community. The toys and her knowledge of the perfect toy for each age and ability are amazing. You’ll want to learn about the Pathways of Wonder.
