They have evening and weekend classes, in addition to daytime options, so you are sure to find a time that fits your schedule.
Parent and Me Classes
Starting at just six months old, your baby can enroll in a FREE class for ages 6-18 months, called Bouncing Babies. This class is a parent and me class that encourages development of the body and cultivates a love of dance at a young age. This is also a great option for those with multiple kiddos enrolled in dance. Your big kid can take a class while you enjoy some special one on one time with your littlest dancer.
Another fun option for toddlers is Dancing Dolls and Dudes! Join your dancer in this parent and me course to go on a new adventure each week. Frozen, Bluey, and Mermaids are just a few of the themes you can expect to enjoy in this fun and engaging class. Every week is exciting and creative, with fun songs, story time, and dancing games!
Ballet
Ballet classes start at 3 years old and continue through high school, with different levels by age and skill level. These courses will help to develop correct posture, flexibility, gross motor skills, and self-confidence. Many skills that children acquire in dance class will be valuable outside of the studio in their everyday lives.
Do you have a preschooler who just can’t wait to slip on their ballet shoes and get on the dance floor? New this year, Tutu Cute is a pre-Ballet 1 course for 2.5-3.5-year-olds who want to start learning ballet.
Contemporary
Contemporary style dance is also offered at Wishes. Starting at age 6, you can enroll your dancer in a Contemporary course. This class must be taken in conjunction with a ballet course, to properly develop the skills for the contemporary style.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop class is the perfect option for those with high energy and a passion for dance! You will use the whole body in this course with jumping, skipping, and lots of whole-body movement. Starting at just 3 years old, kids can bust a move in this active and exciting dance class. Dancers may wear any type of comfortable clothing, and either tan jazz shoes or athletic shoes to Hip Hop Class. Advanced levels are offered through high school age.
Jazz
Jazz instruction at Wishes starts at 3 years old, and continues through high school. Learn beginning jazz techniques, or master previously developed skills with classes broken down by age and skill level. If your young child loves to sing and dance, the Jazz and Musical Theater fusion class may be the perfect fit! Learn to dance while singing in this fun hybrid class for ages 3-5.
Modern
Children ages 6 and up can learn Modern dance at Wishes Dance Studio. There is no requirement to be enrolled in ballet for this dance style, and there are no dress code requirements. This is a stress free and fun option for your dancer.
Musical Theater
Musical Theater is a fun and unique class offering at Wishes. Starting at age 3, you can join a Musical Theater class, where kids will have the opportunity to sing and dance, and have fun with friends while performing!
Tap
Tap Classes are such a fun option for ages 3 and up. Your child will love the sounds the tap shoes make, and will enjoy the self-confidence and accomplishment that comes with learning to use their tap shoes. Classes include fun warm up songs, learning fundamental tap dance moves, and having lots of fun with teachers and classmates. Already have the basics covered? Experienced dancers can join one of the advanced tap levels at Wishes!
Adult Dance and Fitness
We can’t let the kids have all of the fun, can we? Wishes offers classes for adults too! Different class options include an adult fitness class, Cardio Dance, Barre Fitness, and Yoga. You can purchase a 10-class punch card and try out classes for $150 total, or drop in a class at any time for $20/ class. Can’t get enough fitness and fun? For $100 a month, adults can participate in unlimited adult fitness classes. Even better, adults get 50% off of their tuition if you register your dancer in two classes. Get your workout in while they are in class!
Gain Confidence Through Performances and Competitions
Many of the classes at Wishes Dance Studio can be combined with their recital programs. They offer two recitals a year, Christmas Wishes and the Spring Recital. Your children will feel like stars on the big stage under the lights, where they can perform and show off their hard work in front of family and friends.
