It’s the last month of many homeschool-specific classes, but there’s still plenty of time to get exploring! There are plenty of ways to fill up your P.E., science, art, and more!

May 2: Home School Open Gym at Gymnastics Unlimited. 2-3:30 pm. Get some exercise and have fun bouncing in bounce houses and trampolines. Open to homeschool families of all ages.

May 4: Homeschool Adventures at Franklin Road Branch Library. 1:30 pm. This program is designed for homeschool students ages 6-12 and their parents. Free, no registration required.

May 5: Family Open Gym at Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center. Noon-2 pm. Families with children of all ages are invited to come out for a fun open gym time that includes exploring trampolines, foam pits, and challenge circuits! $8 per child, max. $25 per family.

May 8: Homeschool Art Day at uPaint Pottery Studio. 1 pm. Learn about dot art and decorate your own plaque. No reservation needed, just come on in! $10 per student.

May 18: Geology at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Break open your own geode, learn about geology with food, and learn all about the differences between rocks, minerals, and crystals. This program is geared towards children ages 4 and up with a registered adult. The cost is $4 for member adults/ $8 member youth, $5 nonmember adults/ $10 nonmember youth.

May 16: Homeschool Tuesday at Indiana State Museum. This week’s theme is Earth and Sky. The cost is $4 per student and you can register by calling 317.232.1637.

May 19: Homeschooled Co-op at Market District. 10 am-Noon. Homeschoolers ages 6-13 can learn new cooking skills and history of cuisine with these great monthly cooking classes at Market District. This month we’ll be learning about separating eggs and table etiquette! $20 per student.

May 26: Family Open Gym at Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center. Noon-2 pm. Families with children of all ages are invited to come out for a fun open gym time that includes exploring trampolines, foam pits, and challenge circuits! $8 per child, max. $25 per family.
