One of the cool things about St. Patrick’s Day taking place on a Saturday is that there are so many opportunities for kids and families to participate in events on the weekend since most kids are in school during the week. ShamRockin’ the Circle is no exception. Following the Shamrock Run & Walk on Saturday morning, the Circle may be shut down to vehicle traffic but it will be lit up with food, music and other entertainment!
ShamRockin’ takes place Saturday, March 17th from 10:00am-3:00pm at Monument Circle. This festival is free and all of us are invited to join in the celebration. There will be a BeerGarden but the menu of yummy food is perfect for families with children and the prices aren’t too bad either: $3 for a pretzel with cheese or a ShamDog, $6 for Corned Beef on Rye or Bangers & Mash, $1 for popcorn, coffee or hot chocolate, $2 for a shamrock cookie or soft drink.
Musical entertainment includes a U2 tribute band and a Celtic folk band. I’ll update with some parking options later.
