Things to Do in Hendricks County in March

March 1: Family Night Pack

A family can spend an hour of fun with this package. Four jump passes let you experience Dodgeball, a Warrior Course, Basketball, the Foam Zone and more. March 4: Best of Snapology Camp

March 6: Matilda The Musical

Matilda has psychokinetic powers. She endures a bad home life but cherishes her teacher Miss Honey. Watch as she outwits school headmistress Miss Trunchbull.  A Hendricks Civic Theatre performance. March 6: Frozen Jr.

Feel like you are in Arendelle with Anna and Elsa. This musical explores their adventures and love as sisters. Listen to the classic Frozen songs as well as some new ones. March 8: Historic Plainfield Scavenger Hunt

Take the family on an adventure with a little mystery. First, get your clue sheets from the Indiana Room. Then locate each answer in downtown Plainfield and take a pic. Once you’ve located all, return and show your 10 correct pictures for a prize. Ages: All; Cost: Free. *Program will run through April 30, 2020.

March 15: Open Studio – Mask Masquerade

Just because you did not go to Mardi Gras doesn’t mean you can’t make an awesome mask! Use paint, sequins and other materials to go as scary or beautiful as you want. The registration fee includes one mask. Ages: 2 +; Cost: $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Sign-up here.

March 18: Magic School Bus Club

March 25: Family Fort Building

McCloud Nature Park

Nature-loving families, this is for you! First, you will go on a mile hike of easy to moderate difficulty. Then gather sticks, leaves and other materials to build a fort in the woods. A park naturalist will be on hand for advice. Ages: All (children under 16 must be with a hiking adult); Cost: Free; No registration required.

March 25: Celebration Star Wars

6 pm to 8 pm

Begin your evening with crafts and photo ops with members of Star Wars Indiana. Play Star Wars trivia at 6:30 pm and try to win a prize. If you dressed up as your favorite cosplay character (without weapons) you can take part in the pageant and procession at 7:30. Cost: Free; Trivia registration here.

March 27: Zumba Dance Party

Have your kids wear comfortable clothes and shoes and work off some Spring Break energy! Jump and dance to the beat of the music and play games. Parents will be asked to wait outside the classroom until the cool down starts. Cost: Free. Registration starting March 13.
