Between now and Christmas, there are a ton of fantastic holiday events, one of them being Tree Lighting Ceremonies.  You will want to bookmark this page and come back weekly to check out all the local Christmas tree events, organized here by city, so you can start planning to make many joyful memories with your family and friends. November 19th

Carmel 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Holiday on the Square is the perfect kickoff to the season, with the holiday lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa, live reindeer and other animals to pet, holiday entertainment, children’s activities and the Holiday Farmers’ Market.

Carmel 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Clay Terrace Annual Santa Arrival and Tree Lighting kicks of the holiday season by welcoming Santa and enjoy the lighting of the mall’s tree. Attendees can get a picture taken with Santa and visit with his reindeer! Enjoy Carriage rides, face painting, a balloon artist, Carolers and much more!

Greenwood 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Greenwood – A – Glow begins at the Greenwood Public Library with crafts, shows, food and Santa Claus. Later in the night the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Greenwood City Center will take place.

Metamora 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

33rd Annual Metamora Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Gazebo at 6:30.  Gather around the fire barrels as you listen to live holiday music provided by Metamora’s own ‘Catrina and the Baggy Bottom Boys’, sing-alongs, enjoy the Christmas Story and warm up with free hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies and at the right moment we will light up the tree.

Noblesville 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Hamilton Town Center Holiday Festival features a performance by Country Music Artist Jerrod Niemann presented by Hank FM with an opening performance by Not Your Average Boy Band. Following the concert, the Holiday Festival will also include Santa’s Arrival to Hamilton Town Center and the Annual Tree Lighting presented by L&M Gardens.

November 23rd

Fort Wayne 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Night of Lights 2016 will include holiday lighting ceremonies from great downtown businesses and organizations and the fun doesn’t stop after the lightings as great family events and activities will be happening throughout the evening all around Downtown Fort Wayne.

November 25th

Danville 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Light Up Danville: Christmas on the Square is a free evening filled with holiday cheer visiting the Courthouse Square to enjoy the Live Nativity, trackless train, strolling Christmas characters, carolers and the lighting of the Christmas Tree and canopy of lights by Santa has become a family tradition!

Indianapolis 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Circle of Lights will have festivities beginning at 6 p.m. The Monument light-up will occur at approximately 7:55 p.m.

Nashville 6:00 p.m.

Brown County Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is held at the Brown County History Center. The quaint Village of Nashville twinkles with holiday lights. Festive songs fill the air from carolers decked out in Victorian costumes. Artisan galleries, craft studios, shops, and boutiques beckon shoppers.

November 26th

Martinsville 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Festival of Lights at Jimmy Nash Park is held November 26th through January 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each night. November 26th will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus greeting guests at the Nash Family Pavilion with music and time for everyone to tell Santa what they want for Christmas.

Kokomo 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Christmas at the Seiberling is an annual lighting ceremony and kick-off of Christmas at the Seiberling, sponsored by the Wyman Group. Santa will arrive by horse-drawn carriage, we’ll count down to zero and flip the switch to light up the Seiberling Mansion.

Zionsville 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Christmas in the Village Parade and Tree Lighting – Immediately following parade: Tree lighting, live entertainment, barrel train rides, photos with Santa and photos with live reindeer.

November 30th

McCordsville 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Christmas Tree Lighting will include singing, crafts, treats, the lighting of our big tree and the arrival of Santa. There will also be entertainment by the McCordsville Elementary School as well as from some of our talented MVPs.

December 3rd

Anderson 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Santa Meet and Greet, Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade Join us at 4:00 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall to meet with Santa and snap a few photos! The City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony kicks off at 5:30 PM on the lawn of City Hall, with the parade starting immediately following the ceremony.

Avon 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Christmas Tree Lighting is a free event and fun for the entire family!

Broad Ripple 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Lights Up! Holiday Festival and Parade features a Kids Wonderland activity village, live entertainment, the only twilight parade in Indianapolis, and a holiday light display lighting ceremony at the fire house (6330 Guilford Ave). Free family fun!

Brownsburg 6:00 p.m.

Christmas Under the Stars includes a parade offering more than 40 floats. A child will be selected as junior grand marshal to flip the ceremonial switch to light the Town Hall animated light display. Santa will be available in the Town Hall for free pictures. Several kids activities will be offered in Eaton Hall, and musical entertainment will be available on the Town Hall Green.

Fortville 12:00 p.m.

Lights on Main Fortville Winter Festival will include several vendors ready to sell a variety of items starting at noon. Parade starts at 3:00 p.m. Event also includes story telling, music, Santa, and a lighting ceremony.

Franklin 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Discover Downtown Franklin Holiday Lighting offers several events throughout the day and evening. Light the square with tons of kids activities and participating shops.

Westfield 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Westfield in Lights offers free activities for the whole family that include pictures with Santa, Train Rides, Pictures with Frosty the Snowman, Gingerbread House Display, Live Reindeer Petting & Show, Stage Entertainment and the Annual Tree Lighting at 7:00 p.m.
