During this “fun” time of isolation from the people and places we love, we’ve come up with a daily activity for your kids to take part in! Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 am eastern, we’re hosting a 30 minute virtual playdate. The Indy with Kids Virtual PLAYdates will take place via video on facebook.com/Indywithkids
Monday, April 13th
We’re live with Miss Hayley from the Indiana State Museum. We’ll learn about Indiana backyard birds and how to engineer a bird nest.
Materials Needed (you do not need ALL materials!):
o Leaves (dead or alive)
o Some pebbles or rocks
o Various plants (used this project to weed my garden!)
o Pine needles
Things from around the house:
o Shredded paper without glue or staples
o Mesh bags used by groceries for onions
o Undyed cotton or wool string (short length)
o Popsicle sticks
o Paper plate (to build upon)
o Playdough (if you need some help getting your nest to come together)
