Corks and Canvas Class at Daniel’s Vineyard

Register now for the Corks and Canvas event happening at Daniel’s Vineyard on September 21. This month’s projects reflect the theme of Autumn Inspirations. You have the opportunity to choose between 10 different pre-drawn designs. From there, you get to create the painting in whatever way you choose! Partaking of a couple of glasses of wine during this event will make for a fantastic date night and a wonderful way to unwind after a busy day.

Penrod Arts Fair: Indiana’s Nicest Day

4000 N. Michigan Rd, Indianapolis

The 56th Annual Penrod Arts Fair will take place on September 9 and is touted as Indiana’s Nicest Day. Come out to Newfields from 9 am-5 pm for an entire day dedicated to the arts. This is one of the nation’s largest art fairs and features over 300 artists, five stages of entertainment, more than 50 arts-related non-profit organizations, an extensive children’s area, and local food and beverages for all to enjoy.

General admission tickets are $20 per person. Bring your partner along with you to pick out some new artwork to display in your home and immerse yourself in the arts for a day.

Chocolate and Wine Class at SoChatti

If you have missed out on snagging a spot for Chocolate and Wine Class at SoChatti, they are now offering an abbreviated version of the class on select Friday afternoons. Dip out of work a little early or indulge in an end-of-week happy hour with this class. The experience includes a flight of all four SoChatti origins paired with five delicious wines. Plus, take a tour of the chocolate factory and make seasonal drop candies.

If you and your date are on the hunt for fall treats, look no further than Stuckey Farm. The delicious aroma of apple cider donuts fills the air. The gorgeous red barn is filled with all of your favorite fall necessities. Stroll through the orchard and pick apples to enjoy later at home. Stuckey Farm produces 36 different varieties of apple throughout the 5000 tree orchard. If you make the trip out to Sheridan during the first two weekends in September, you will get to experience the beauty of the sunflowers at their Sunflower Festival.

Soak up the Last Bits of Summer with the Indianapolis Indians

If you are holding on to the last bits of summer and are not ready for fall to be here yet, make plans to enjoy an Indianapolis Indians game. There will be plenty of nice warm days for you to spend at the ballpark. The Indians have two homestands during the month of September: September 5th-10 and September 19-24. Throughout these homestands, you can find promotions such as Tuesday Dollar Menu Night, Thirsty Thursdays, and Friday Night Fireworks.

A Night Out at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre

If you haven’t been to Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre, you need to add it to your list of places to visit this season! Dinner and a show are what’s on the ticket here. All throughout September (except Mondays), you can grab tickets to see Grumpy Old Men: The Musical. Based on the 1993 film, this stage adaptation captures the lovably crotchety characters through twinkling humor and great songs. Doors open two hours prior to showtime so that you are able to partake of the delicious buffet. That’s right! You will get to enjoy an entire meal before the show starts. Enjoy a salad bar, main entrees, sides, and even dessert. There are plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options as well.

There is an abundance of festivals happening all throughout September all over Central Indiana. Festivals are a great way to experience different cultures, shop vendors, try new foods, and indulge in all the wonders of the season. This month you can attend the Franklin Fall Festival, Hometown Heroes Festival at Beasley’s Orchard, the Carmel International Arts Festival, and the Saraga International Food Festival just to name a few!

The Indy Eleven season is coming to a close but you still have three opportunities in September to come out and see a match. The team is in town on September 2, 24, and 30. Ticket prices start at just $15. September 2 is Hispanic Heritage Night. September 24 will feature some of the racing world’s most famous drivers for The Driven2SaveLives BC39 evening. Fan Appreciation Night is September 30 where you can enjoy giveaways, contests, and prizes. Enjoy specials on concessions as well.

Relax and Enjoy Live Music at the Greenwood Concert Series

If you are a fan of live music, you may have attended one of the many free summer concert series around the city. We love going to these as well. Lucky for us, Greenwood Parks and Recreation has a fall concert series! On September 23, you can jam along to Dream Slice and on September 30, 90 Proof is hitting the stage. Bring along chairs and a picnic or buy food and drinks from the vendors on site.

Cuddle Up at Tibbs Drive-In

The Tibbs Drive-In is such a fun place to go and watch movies. Your ticket price will get you in for a double feature.
