Celebrate monarch butterflies as they migrate through Indiana on their way to their overwintering grounds in central Mexico during the Monarch Migration Open House at Cool Creek Park Nature Center.
Families can stop by for a day of monarch-themed activities, including educational displays, migration games, crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on learning. Guests will also have the opportunity to take home a milkweed plant to help provide food for next year’s caterpillars.
Activity Schedule:
9:00–10:00 AM: Fall Flowers for Butterflies Hike
10:30 AM–12:00 PM: Monarch Lifecycle Craft
11:00 AM–1:00 PM: Swamp Milkweed Giveaway and Support Activities
11:00 AM–2:00 PM: Outdoor Games
1:30–2:30 PM: Make a Butterfly Puddling Station
